Gabriel Cosmetics was conceived and developed in 1992 by Gabriel DeSantino, a makeup artist working for major prestige brands. Inspired by the teachings of his grandmother to create a pioneering mineral-based makeup line—DeSantino served as his abuela’s apprentice, collecting seaweed and kelp for her sea-based remedies—Gabriel Cosmetics only sells 100% natural, marine-based cosmetic products (19 products, $19.60-$35.50), which contain sea-derived botanicals harvested from the Pacific Ocean. Scheduled for launch this summer/fall, especially unique products include spray eye makeup remover and a seaweed mask with aloe that helps prevent peeling. Gabriel Organics is certified USDA organic and also Ecocert approved. Packaging is SFI-certified and manufactured by Custom Lithograph.
